Staff Profiles
Lana Patterson, DC
Lana grew up in Langley, attending Fort Langley’s Fine Art School where she developed her love of drawing and dance. She attended high school at Walnut Grove Secondary and focused more on the sciences which she became passionate about. While attending university, Lana became a personal trainer and thoroughly enjoyed educating her clients on the importance of health and balance in their bodies and lives. So it became fitting that after graduation from SFU with her BSc in Biology, Dr. Patterson moved to Los Angeles to complete her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences. In addition, she completed a specialty in animal chiropractic through the Animal Veterinary Chiropractic Association program in Dallas, Texas. She then returned to BC and was fortunate to train with Dr. Donald Grant, DC in Burnaby who inspired her and shared years of chiropractic experience and various healing methods with her. She worked with Dr. Grant for three years. Lana is tremendously thankful for meeting and befriending Dr. Pam Carlson, DC, an amazing mentor in the field of animal chiropractic. In 2007 Lana married Shaun Patterson, DC, a chiropractor who also grew up in Fort Langley. She now practices in Fort Langley and enjoys a balanced life of work and extra-curricular activities such as golf, kayaking, hiking, Pilates, yoga, and she just started dancing again and is learning to tap.

Testimonials
I came to Fort Family Chiropractic
because I had extreme lower back pain with tingling in my hands and arms. As
a result of this I was not able to do much of the everyday activities that I
usually could.
I worked as a core aide and now a nurse. It was very difficult handling patients
and moving them around. I could not sleep more then 4 hours a night without
having to get up and walk around.
I would absolutely recommend Dr. Patterson and have done so in the past as she
has helped me to have a very restful sleep. I am also able to cope better with
things at work and I am able to focus much better.

Hello Lana,
I’m glad to hear you’ve started a website to help inform people about the services you offer. I wanted to write this testimonial not only as a recommendation but also as a thank you for the exceptional chiropractic care you’ve given my dog Jackie Legz.
As you know Jackie is an American Bulldog so he is big and strong; this can cause problems when he plays around and he has thrown his knee and hip out in the past. When I went to my vet they recommended he would need surgery. I was very concerned about him having surgery and wanted to try alternative treatment. Chiropractic care worked well on my past aches and pains and I had heard that it worked for animals.
Your chiropractic care for Jackie not only prevented him from having to go through surgery but most of the time he is just like his old self. Now when we see you it’s usually for maintenance and to prevent future issues.
Due to the great experience we’ve had I’ve become somewhat of an advocate for people to try chiropractic care for their dogs in case it can help reduce discomfort or prevent surgery. If your website is able to help people learn about treatment options for their pet’s pain and injuries and help avoid surgery then I’m more than happy to write this testimonial and recommend others consider chiropractic care for their pet. I know I’m very glad I did.
Yours Truly,
Allan Laboucan

I came to see Dr. Patterson because my dog needed help.
Maggie, my Great Dane, was not able to walk or play. Dr. Patterson has helped
Maggie so much and has been wonderful with her. If it was not for Dr. Patterson
my Maggie would not be walking today.
I would recommend Dr. Patterson very much as I consider her the best.

I came to Fort Family Chiropractic
because of the aches and pains mainly in my back. However, I also had very severe
pains in my neck causing headaches for the past two years. My range of motion
was very limited and I found it painful and difficult do activities that required
me to bend over and turn.
Dr. Patterson examined and treated me for the pain of arthritis in my neck and
I have found it has helped my neck and back very much. I would recommend Dr.
Patterson most certainly and have already done so to many of my friends and
family who also see her with great success. Our family could not do without
Dr. Patterson’s help.

I came to see Dr. Patterson after
she was recommended to me because my regular chiropractor of the past 25years
was not able to relieve me of my chronic back pain. This back pain disabled
me from doing things like belly dancing, washing windows, working, sitting,
and just living.
Dr. Patterson always manages to relive some of the pain. She has a magic touch,
I would absolutely recommend her!
